first_imgAntoin McFadden has been appointed the new strength and conditioning coach of the Limerick senior footballers.Former Donegal player Antoin McFadden has been appointed as the new strength and conditioning coach for the Limerick Senior footballers.McFadden, 25, was a member of the Donegal All-Ireland winning squad in 2012 – and is the younger brother of Colm McFadden.McFadden also helped Donegal U21’s to the All-Ireland decider in 2010. McFadden was an integral part of the coaching staff at Newcastle West – who won their first Limerick SFC in 23 years last weekend.McFadden has been based in Limerick since participating in a Masters in Sports Science at the University of Limerick.He continues to play club football with St Michael’s – and was introduced as a substitute for Eddie Harkin’s side during their Donegal SFC semi-final to St Eunan’s last month.Limerick football manager John Brudair confirmed that McFadden will join his backroom to replace the unavailable Mikey Kiely.
