The MartThe Mart had been leased by the previous Parish Council in an attempt to make it a facility for the young people of the parish. However, as it is an industrial building, there were issues with health and safety, and with insurance. Udaras na Gaeltachta have agreed to temporarily suspend the lease and will endeavour to have the Mart upgraded and made suitable for social use, with the Parish Council hopefully taking up the lease again later in the year.New Year’s Day Swim and QuizThe New Year’s swim in aid of Killybegs Hospice: Killybegs Community Hospital was organised, along with a quiz held in the Glen Head Tavern. A great day was had by all and a total of €3,400 was raised for this important cause. Teach a’LásaThe Parish currently owns the Lace House building on Cashel Street, and  there is shop space and office space to let therein. Anyone wishing to rent the shop space or office space can approach any member of the Parish Council.Tidy Towns 2012An application for the 2012 Tidy Towns competition is being completed and we are working on improving on our 2010 report from same.Anyone interested in helping out with the tidy towns competition can approach any member of the Parish Council. There will be a spring clean up organised, probably for late April or May, date to be announced.More stones bearing the names of town lands are also being ordered.Siúlóid na Muirlinne A river walk, Siúlóid na Muirlinne, has been proposed and currently we are looking for funding for this.
