From the road you can see the house, on a small hill, with a dark silhouette in sharp contrast to its natural environment, offering a wide view over Santo Tirso. Its simple lines are the reinterpretation of the stereotype of the traditional Portuguese house, gable roof. We started by defning a northeast-southeast axis in the longitudinal direction of the land and oriented in the best view of the place. Save this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioSave this picture!Site planSave this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioAnd in this linear orientation, the main volume is arranged, in a playful reconfguration of the traditional house, it becomes remarkable in the landscape. A smaller, fat volume is attached to this one, which in addition to completing the programmatic requirements of housing is also an allusion to the annexes that traditionally are constant additions to the main house.Save this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioSave this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioThis volume departs from the entrance of the lot to create a kind of external decompression atrium. And in the simplicity of the composition of these two volumes, an intuitive understanding of spaces is promoted, inviting us to enter. In terms of the program’s distribution, the reception lobby is the frst point of contact with the house, leading us to the central and common areas of the house: dining room, living room and kitchen, spacious and generous with lots of natural light promoted by negative space, which is used as the extension of the indoor room to the outside, to the pool and outdoor dining room, taking advantage of the rhythmic play of light in the afternoon.Save this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioSave this picture!SectionSave this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioThis central block also allows us to separate two spaces that were to be independent: For the south-east, the private area, a corridor distributes the rooms and a small ofce, all of them with exterior spaces accessible through glass doors that balance the visual and physical connections to the landscape of each room; To the northeast, the technical areas of housing and work, with double height; Over these two areas, the traditional shape of the gable roof allowed the interior spaces to be modeled to complement the nature of the programs, creating a place for reading and studying. Save this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioSave this picture!South elevationSave this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioDue to the simplicity and relevance of its interior design, with light, minimalist and smooth walls, it offers a peaceful living space. In contrast to the dark exterior, where the black plant tile and the pine together with the simple shape of the building create a striking graphic silhouette against the landscape. On the whole, through the juxtaposition of its facade materials, we get closer to the natural, the beautiful, where we hope that its inhabitants are happy.Save this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioSave this picture!East elevationSave this picture!© Ivo Tavares StudioProject gallerySee allShow lessNeblina House / FGMF ArquitetosSelected Projects”TikTok-itecture”: Is This the New Digital Media for Architecture and Design?Articles Share 2020 Houses Photographs Projects CopyHouses, House Interiors•Santo Tirso, Portugal Year:  House in Santo Tirso / Hous3Save this projectSaveHouse in Santo Tirso / Hous3last_img read more

Double down on cyber security with multi-factor authentication

first_imgEach day, we all use authenticators to prove our identity and establish trust. Whether it’s accessing our cell phones, bank accounts, or our employer’s network, authentication is a part of our daily life. Without authenticators, establishing trust would make business transactions very difficult, and without secure authentication, an imposter could severely damage a business’ financial interests and their digital persona. Proving identity is increasingly important as we use global online services and surround ourselves with the internet. In this blog post, we’ll discuss the value of using multi-factor authentication in your company’s cyber security efforts, and give you tips for further protecting your organization’s sensitive information. When it comes to protecting your data, two is better than one!Account takeover is a serious cyber security risk to both businesses and individuals. If someone steals credentials, they may wreak havoc in minutes that could last for a very long time. Since many people reuse passwords for multiple accounts, losing one set of credentials puts more than just one service at risk. Credential reuse is risky—it’s like putting your only copy of all of your keys on the same key ring and then losing it.Multi-factor authentication (a.k.a., two-factor authentication, 2FA, MFA), is a second layer of security that requires you to provide an additional credential with your account password. The second factor may be an SMS-code, app-generated code, app touch, fingerprint, face scan, or even a physical key. Adding a second factor lowers account takeover risk, because the attacker has to defeat two controls to gain access to an account. Hyperco gives awards in five IMCA divisions, Deery Series

first_img“We communicate with a variety of IMCA sponsors when it comes to making rules decisions on an annual basis and Hyperco certainly is one we consult based on their longevity with us,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Their products are designed for IMCA racers and we value the partnership we’ve established with them for over two decades.” “The IMCA market, like all circle track racing on both dirt and asphalt is among Hyperco’s largest core markets for providing spring solutions and these competitors help us grow every day as they race in some of the toughest conditions around the country,” he continued. “If you can develop a product that can survive what they are doing on a nightly basis, then you know you are doing something right.” All drivers must compete with at least one Hyperco spring and display two Hyperco decals on their race car to be eligible; Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock and SportMod drivers must also fill out and return a sign-up form to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1. PONTOTOC, Miss. – Drivers in five IMCA divisions, as well as Deery Brothers Summer Series competitors are in the running again this season for product awards from Hyperco. The Pontotoc, Miss., high performance suspension components manufacturer and 22-year sponsor gives awards based on regional standings for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, and on national standings for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods.  Hyperco will also give two Conventional SNS springs to the top eligible driver in the tour for IMCA Late Models. Second and third-place eligible drivers each receive one Conventional SNS spring.center_img Information about Hyperco high performance products is available by calling 800 365-2645 or 662 488-4567, at the www.hypercoils.com website and on Facebook. Awards will be presented during the national banquet in November or mailed from the IMCA home office the following week. “What can we say … we love IMCA racing!” said Hyperco Motorsports Market Manager Justin Cockerham. “From coast to coast, these guys and gals are racing every weekend and racing hard.”  Top three eligible finishers in each of the five Modified regions, both Stock Car regions, both Hobby Stock regions and in national point races for Northern and Southern SportMods earn product certificates good for two Hyperco SNS Conventional springs. last_img read more
